All participants:

  • Receive a tax receipt for their contribution to charity.Participate in Clear The Air! also support the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Quebec Branch, a longtime partner of the program.
     
  • Become a member of the AQLPA for one year ($ 10 value) and receive a receipt for tax purposes for your contributions to charity.
     
  • Can claim a rebate of up to 20% on the hourly rate of use of the package Le Lièvre from Communauto.
     
  • (NEW) Can claim a one year free subscription service to carpooling Allo Stop

PLUS, Clear the Air! participants choose, in exchange for the recycling of their vehicle, one of the following rewards:

Public Transit Tickets or Passes – 12 consecutive months *

N.B.: The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

  • Quebec City and Lévis Region: Through the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) and the Société de transport de Lévis (STL), receive 12 monthly passes or 12 monthly metropolitan passes. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1] (To take advantage of this offer, please visit Communauto and present your letter of participation in the program.) (NEW) Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
  • Île d’Orléans, Côte-de-Beaupré and Québec: Through PLUMobile, receive 12 monthly passes. Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
  • Outaouais Region: Through the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO), receive a 12 consecutive months bus pass. The pass will be issued in the name of the person who appears on the immatriculation of the car. The pass is not transferable or modifiable. No exception will be accepted. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1]. (NEW) Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
  • Sherbrooke Region: Through the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS), receive a 12-month public transit subscription. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1]. (NEW) Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
  • Trois-Rivières Region: Through the Société de transport de Trois-Rivières (STTR), receive a 12-month public transit subscription. (NEW) Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
  • (NEW) Saguenay Region: Through the Société de transport de Saguenay (STS), receive a 12-month public transit subscription. (NEW) Plus, optionally, 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose public transit;
     
  • Other regions: The AQLPA is currently finalizing agreements with other transportation corporations to be able to offer public transit tickets or passes in other regions.

*The 12 months of public transit tickets or passes are consecutive, i.e., they cover 12 months in a row, without any possibility of skipping one or more months. The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

Fuel Efficient Cars

Cash back of up to $ 1 500 for the purchase of a more energy efficient car.

In collaboration with Toyota dealers in Quebec, "Clear The Air! " offers a cash back of up to $ 1 500 if purchasing a new vehicle or 4 years old and younger, more energy efficient than your old vehicle. Information HERE.

Where applicable, participants can add the Quebec government’s credits (up to $ 8,000) to purchase a hybrid or electric car. Read more about it.


Car Sharing

       
  • Montreal, Quebec City-Lévis, Outaouais and Sherbrooke Regions: receive a one-year subscription to Communauto car-sharing service, valued at $ 537 (Package C) for only $ 200 membership refundable fee (deposit). Vehicle operating costs and additional options ($ 0 deductible insurance, modified package upwards) extra.  To find out about Communauto’s eligibility criteria, visit the question-and-answer section;

OR

  • Regions of Montreal, Quebec and Levis, Outaouais and Sherbrooke will receive a 3-year annual subscription to car-sharing service Communauto (Package C) plus $ 30 credit to use. Vehicle operating costs and additional options ($ 0 deductible insurance, modified package upwards) extra.   • (NEW) 50% discount on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($ 39 rather than $ 78) for participants who choose car-sharing;

OR

Carpooling

  • (NEW) $ 600 credit on the use of carpooling service Allo Stop. Credits applicable to the costs for the contact. Credits non-refundable and valid for two years;
     
  • (NEW) 50% discount on annual subscription service bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal ($39 rather than $78) for participants who choose to carpool;

OR

Long-Distance Mass Transit

     
  • Sherbrooke-Montreal Line: Receive a $600 discount on the purchase of monthly passes or ticket booklets for the Sherbrooke-Montreal service through Transdev Limocar. The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

Bicycles

       
  • Get a $350 to $490 rebate* on the purchase of an Opus, Norco, Rocky Mountain, Velomane or Vélocycle bike. The rebate in the amount of $350* or more is applicable on a bike of the current year model. The exact amount of the rebate is determined based on the regular price of the bike chosen.

Tax credit for purchasing or leasing a new green vehicle

In addition of receiving the offer of Clear the Air!, you could get extra credit from the Quebec’s government which offers a tax credit for the purchase or lease of a vehicle with a low fuel consumption or a fully electric car. If an eligible person acquire or lease for a long-term period (minimum 12 continuous months) a recognized green vehicle after before January 1st 2012, it may claim a refundable tax credit. Get all the information on the Québec’s income tax site for the year 2011.
