IMPORTANT NOTICE - November 20, 2013

Temporaly closure of the Clear The Air program!
The funds for the rewards have run out for the current year.

Due to the success of the program, we inform you that the funds are depleted as of November 20/2013.

We have closed the program temporarily until the external evaluation of the program, currently underway, is completed. It is only after this assessment that we will be able to inform you of the continuation of the program.

Please note that

- As of today, the registration form will no longer be available;
- Those who have completed their registration AND whose approval steps are completed will receive their rewards according to the usual parameters of the program. 

New information will be published in early 2014.

All participants:

  • Receive a tax receipt for their contribution to charity.Participate in Clear The Air! also support the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Quebec Branch, a longtime partner of the program.
  • Become a member of the AQLPA for one year ($ 10 value) and receive a receipt for tax purposes for your contributions to charity.
  • Can claim a rebate of up to 1$ on the hourly rate of use of the package Le Lièvre from Communauto.
  • (NEW) Can claim a one year free subscription service to carpooling Allo Stop

PLUS, Clear the Air! participants choose, in exchange for the recycling of their vehicle, one of the following rewards:

Public Transit Tickets or Passes – 12 consecutive months *

N.B.: The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

Note that all participants who have chosen the public transit reward, after reception of recycling proof (donation form) has been sent to the Clear the air program! between April 1 and June 30, can start using their reward beginning August 1, 2013.

Public transit authorities reserve the right to refuse an application, especially when the participant has already received the reward in a previous participation.

  • Quebec City and Lévis Region (No longer available - limit of 100 has been reached): Through the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) and the Société de transport de Lévis (STL), receive 12 monthly passes or 12 monthly metropolitan passes. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1] (To take advantage of this offer, please visit Communauto and present your letter of participation in the program.) (NEW) Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit;
  • Île d’Orléans, Côte-de-Beaupré and Québec: Through PLUMobile, receive 12 monthly passes. (NEW) Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit;
  • Outaouais Region: Through the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO), receive a 12 consecutive months bus pass. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1]. (NEW) Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit. To be eligible to obtain a free STO 12 month bus pass (in exchange of one's old vehicle) the participant or designated person must be a resident of Québec and must not have purchased more than 3 monthly bus passes in the last 12 months (either consecutive or not) the said participant or designated person will be eligible only if he/she bought none, one, two or three monthly passes in the last 12 months.
  • Sherbrooke Region: Through the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS), receive a 12-month public transit subscription. Plus, optionally, an access to the Communauto car fleet for $8/month [1]. (NEW) Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit;
  • Saguenay Region: Through the Société de transport de Saguenay (STS), receive a 12-month public transit subscription. (NEW) Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit;
  • Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to Montréal: With Ville de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, receive 12 monthly passes in the urban and interurban circuits of the  town of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu . Plus, optionally, a $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose public transit;
  • Granby: Through the City of Granby receive a 12-month public transit subscription. Plus, optionally, $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montréal
  • Other regions: The AQLPA is currently finalizing agreements with other transportation corporations to be able to offer public transit tickets or passes in other regions.

*The 12 months of public transit tickets or passes are consecutive, i.e., they cover 12 months in a row, without any possibility of skipping one or more months. The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

OR

Fuel Efficient Cars

Cash back of up to $ 1 500 for the purchase of a more energy efficient car.

In collaboration with Toyota, Honda, GM (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac) and Mazda dealers in Quebec, "Clear The Air! " offers a cash back of up to $ 1 500 (including your dealer's $300 contribution) if purchasing a new vehicle or 4 years old and younger, more energy efficient than your old vehicle. NOTICE : You must tell the dealer you want to participate in Clear The Air! at the beginning of the purchase process. The dealer may refuse to combine the Clear The Air! reward with other promotional offers, rebates or gratuities.

Where applicable, participants can add the Quebec government’s credits (up to $ 8,000) to purchase a hybrid or electric car. Read more about it.

Car Sharing

  • Montreal, Quebec City-Lévis, Outaouais and Sherbrooke Regions: receive a one-year subscription to Communauto car-sharing service, valued at $ 537 (Package C) for only $ 200 membership refundable fee (deposit). Vehicle operating costs and additional options ($ 0 deductible insurance, modified package upwards) extra.  To find out about Communauto’s eligibility criteria, visit the question-and-answer section;

OR

  • Regions of Montreal, Quebec and Levis, Outaouais and Sherbrooke will receive a 3-year annual subscription to car-sharing service Communauto (Package C) plus $ 30 credit to use. Vehicle operating costs and additional options ($ 0 deductible insurance, modified package upwards) extra.   • (NEW) $40 credit on annual subscription service to bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose car-sharing;

Carpooling

  • (NEW) $ 600 credit on the use of carpooling service Allo Stop. Credits applicable to the costs for the contact. Credits non-refundable and valid for two years;
  • (NEW) $40 credit on annual subscription service bike-sharing BIXI in Montreal for participants who choose to carpool;

Mass Transit

  • Sherbrooke-Montreal Line: Receive a $600 credit on the purchase of monthly passes or ticket booklets for the Sherbrooke-Montreal service through Transdev Limocar.
  • Gaspésie and Îles-de-la-Madeleine: Receive a $600 discount on the purchase of ticket booklets for the Gaspésie and Îles de la-Madeleine service through RéGÎM.
  • Autocars Orleans Express: Receive a $600 credit on ticket booklets with Orleans Express, specialized in the Montreal-Quebec corridor, with departures nearly every hour, every day. They also serve the Mauricie, Centre-du-Quebec, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspesie regions.
The public transit tickets or passes received as part of the program must NOT, IN ANY CASE, be sold or transferred to any third party.

Bicycles

  • Get a $350 to $490 rebate* on the purchase of an Norco, Rocky Mountain, Velomane or Miele bike. The rebate in the amount of $350* or more is applicable on a bike of the current year model. The exact amount of the rebate is determined based on the regular price of the bike chosen.

[1] Participants in Clear the Air! save the $500 refundable membership fee and $37 on the most popular annual package** at Communauto (Package C). [3] $1 on the hourly rate of use for the first 10 hours of each 24-hour reservation period and at least a $5.05 discount on the package price of the hourly rate charged for the hours between the 10th and 24th hours of each 24-hour reservation period.


Purchase or lease rebate with Running on green power program

In addition of receiving the offer of Clear the Air!, the Drive Electric Program, from Quebec’s government, offers a purchase/lease rebate for individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and Québec municipalities that want to acquire an eligible vehicle.

The vehicle must be new and registered for the first time in Québec between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2015. Demonstration vehicles used by car dealers are also eligible under the program upon their resale if the number of kilometers on the odometer is lower than 10,000 km at the time of the transaction.

In 2013 the rebate amount ranges from $4,500 to $8,000 for all-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. A $500 rebate is available for non-plug-in hybrid and low-speed electric vehicles.
