- As part of Clean Air Day festivities, Quebecers were praised
Wednesday for getting rid of their older cars by the thousands and
opting for public transit.
About 20,000 Quebecers recycled older
vehicles over the past year, removing the equivalent of 380,000 more
recently built vehicles off the road, according to officials from the
Association québécoise de lutte contre la pollution atmosphérique. The
AQLPA is the provincial organization that administers Canada’s national
Retire Your Ride incentive program in Quebec.
